Education Savings Programs


 
The following programs can help you with your savings for post-secondary education. Click on these links to learn more.
  • Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) – "... the Government of Canada will add to your savings in a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) with a Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG). Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) is a financial incentive for parents, family and friends to save for a child’s education after high school. The grant is paid directly into the child’s RESP."
  • Canada Learning Bond (CLB) – "The Canada Learning Bond (CLB) is a Government of Canada grant to help modest-income families start saving early for their child’s education after high school. The CLB is put directly into an RESP in which the child is named as a beneficiary."
  • Alberta Centennial Education Savings Plan – "The Alberta Centennial Education Savings Plan is an incentive for parents to begin planning and saving for their children's education as early as possible. Under the Alberta Centennial Education Savings Plan, the Alberta government will contribute $500 to the registered education savings plan (RESP) of every baby born to an Alberta resident in 2005 and beyond."
